As always, I won’t ever forget to thank everyone who has taken the time to drop by and read. Today’s post is all about thee Count down to #Nanowrimo2017, and if you’re a writer who is aspiring to be one or even currently stuck somewhere between wanting to finish all that pile of drafts you have inside your head or hard drives?
then this latest post maybe just what you may need! But, before anything else– here is an awesome video I found via YouTube about #Nanowrimo and writing.
Did you enjoy the video and music?
Did you feel like you could relate to the song?
if yes. Then, it might as well be thee national anthem for all of us– right?
Anyhow, if you’re not familiar about what #Nanowrimo is about, then here’s a quick summary about the whole event this coming November.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.
On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

By now, the brief introduction to what is #Nanowrimo or #Nanowrimo2017 is all about. Here’s my personal post about my participation this year.
After winning #Nanowrimo2015, I took a year off from #Nanowrimo because I simply felt the need to focus on editing my first novel, which was #VelvetValentine. I wanted to read through and understand what I’ve written after the month-long grind.
At first, it felt amazing to be able to reach such accomplishment but, like all good things– there is always that aftermath effect.
After reading through my body of work, I came into a realization. There were plenty of things about my writing which needed to improve upon and to speak bluntly about it. These things weren’t just merely grammar alone.
You see, the story up in my head seemed all concrete but, when i started writing the whole story and let my mind run lose, there were still things about my story in which I felt was lacking.
And it is because of this reason, which is why I’ve decided a year ago to exert effort into practicing writing on a daily, weekly to monthly post here in my blog. Apart from this, I’ve also taken the time to read more and as well as write in my personal journal.
I wanted to discover how much of a difference it would make for me if I retraced and reviewed the basics before diving back in again. This year, I’ve made it to my goal to participate again for the #Nanowrimo2017 and see how much I have improved since then.
The #Nanowrimo2017 count down is just a marker for me to let my readers know about what I’m currently planning to do for the rest of NOVEMBER 2017.
The header photo is from the #Nanowrimo kick off– although, I wasn’t able to attend the kick off party here in the Philippines. I am ever so grateful to my good friend and co-author Michael Recto for bringing me my own #Nanowrimo2017 envelope which contained the warm welcome greetings, awesome stickers and a personal #Nanowrimo calendar.
I don’t really have much to time to share my thoughts with all of you at this hour. However, I do hope this post, may serve as a guide point for everyone who happens to stumble upon this blog. May it give you an idea as to why you are writing or participating for #Nanowrimo this year.
